40% voting already done by postal ballot

Navsari: The first phase of the Gujarat assembly elections polls will be held on 9th December. More than 10 thousand government officials/employees and district police personnel will serve in the election process on four assembly seats in Navsari. To utilize their suffrage and celebrate democracy, under the guidance of District Election Officer and District Collector Ravi Kumar Arora the provision of the postal ballot was organized at training centres. Wherein, 40% voting was already done by the election staff along with the training.

Among the four assembly constituencies in Navsari district, the postal ballot and training were organized at Italia High School in Chikhali constituency; Pratap High School in Vasda Constituency; Navsari Agricultural University in Jalalpor Constituency and Agrawal College in Navsari constituency. By using postal ballot 3,144 election staff and 1,193 police and Homegaurd credits, 20 divers and conductors cast their votes. Out of more than 10 thousand registered government employees total 4,361 staff cast their precious vote which includes 2,870 males and 1,401 females.

It is noteworthy that till date 40% voting is already recorded using postal ballot and still many employees are going to vote, hence there lies the possibility of the increase in the percentage of voting by postal ballot.
