From today BJP president Amit Shah is going to out for a whirlwind tour of three north-eastern States, which are among the eight states going to polls in 2018. Shah will visit Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland.
According to the BJP leader, President will start his tour from Garo Hills- which is a stronghold of Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma. Further, he is scheduling to address a public rally in Tikrikilla. And the tour will end in Nagaland.
The BJP has appointed Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Finance Minister poll in-charge for Tripura and Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju for Nagaland.
The BJP has set a target of 40 seats in the 60 members legislative assembly in Meghalaya.
