Passenger bus crashed into pothole beside the road

Anand: On Thursday at 5 pm, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation labeled bus carrying salaried and students crashed into the pothole beside the road while heading from Umeta towards Virkuva Chowkadi of Anklav. The driver of the speeding bus lost the control over the bus and crashed into the pothole near the taluka panchayat. The chaos among the passenger had drawn the attention of the local people who ran to their help and rescued them. Fortunately, no casualties were caused by the incident. 

The local people informed that these buses regularly carry salaried and students which were mostly overcrowded then its capacity. The State Transport buses via Vadodara to Borsad and Anklav are quite irregular in evening hours, hence, private buses labeled as Vadodara Municipal Corporation runs on this route. Similarly, on Thursday, an overcrowded bus crashed into the pothole near taluka panchayat, when the driver lost the control over the bus while speeding. Fortunately, the bus crashed into the pothole and hanged due to the support of the tree in the pothole and if there would not have been any tree then major mishap might have occurred. Following the incident, due to the chaos among the passenger, the employees of taluka panchayat and the local people run to the site and help the passenger to rescue from the windows of the bus. Fortunately, no casualties were caused by the incident.

Box: Under the mercy of Anklav police, private vehicles carrying over capacity passengers runs between the destinations – from Ashodar via Anklav and Umeta to Vadodara. Many a time, several accidents had also occurred in past by following vehicles due to sudden brake by such irresponsibly speeding buses. But the Anklav police are not taking suitable actions against the culprits as they have been bribed by the drivers of the private vehicles which can prove fatal for the lives of innocents.
