Heavy Rainfall: Government Machinery on alert
Morbi: After receiving the heavy rainfall prediction by the weather forecast, the chief minister of the state, Vijay Rupani has urged officials to send alert instructions to the districts. The Government machinery has been kept on alert in Morbi district and their holidays have been cancelled. The officials have been asked not to leave office on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rainfall in different areas of Morbi district in the next couple days. It said that there would be heavy rains in the next 48 hours because of the sudden weather change in Madhya Pradesh may cause rain lash out in the district.
Morbi district collector, I. K. Patel has ordered officials to be on alert and keep their offices open on till the next instruction. The emergency control room has been kept on for 24/7.
State Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani has called on the emergency meeting to review the situation and has asked the officials to take all necessary measures to ensure safety and security to people across affected districts.
