JD(U) suspends Ali Anwar Ansari for anti-party activity
PATNA: JD(U) suspended Ali Anwar Ansari from the parliamentary party after he attended the all opposition meeting called by Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday.
On Friday, Sonia Gandhi had called all opposition party meeting in New Delhi and 18 opposition parties including JD(U) was invited by Sonia Gandhi. Ali Anwar Ansari also joined the meeting and said that he attended the meeting after Sharad Yadav asked him to attend the meeting.
The JD(U) spokesperson K C Tyagi said to the media that Ali Anwar Ansari has been suspended from the parliamentary party after the party found him in anti-party activity.
He also hit out at Congress President Sonia Gandhi for interfering within the party on its internal matter. Significantly, Ansari and Sharad Yadav have been criticizing Nitish Kumar for breaking the alliance from Mahagathbandhan and forming the government with the BJP support in Bihar.
