Monkey menace on the rise in Aravalli

Aravalli: There has been a rise in the monkey menace in the district. As per the information, from past four weeks, Dhansera taluka is the one where the troop of the monkeys is seen at any given time. The villagers said that the school students are often scared away by the monkeys, particularly during the lunch break. Officials confess that it has been a challenge to manage the problem. They urged the people not to give any eatables like banana, fruits or biscuits. The monkeys are ruling here said the residents of Akrund, Alva, Amarpura, Bhensavada villages. As per the latest estimates, around 25 people have been affected by far from Amarpura village of Dhansera taluka and 10 have been injured from Akrund village. Desarambhai, a resident of Akrund village said, "I was in the field for some work in the morning on Wednesday when I was attacked by two monkeys. Both of them latched onto my left foot and bit me. I got 12 stitches on my foot."
