Vadodara: With an aim of showcasing the nature through the camera, a group of nature lovers in the city has made a short film about the importance and biodiversity of Vishwamitri River that flows through the heart of the city.
The group members said that they want Barodians to know the significance of the river and how its ecology is being destroyed.
The film was released on Thursday and it will be soon uploaded on Youtube too. “The idea is to spread awareness about the river that is so crucial to this city. Every citizen knows about the existence of this river but most think that it just carries drainage or effluent water. They are not aware of the rich biodiversity that the river still has,” said Arun Majumdar who had started the Nature Walk Group seven years ago.
