Gandhinagar: With the rising cases of Swine flu, the CM Rupani on Saturday held a high-level meeting with collectors & top officials regarding the preparedness of district administration in tackling of swine flu. Rupani instructed the officials to ensure necessary measures for prevention, control & treatment of the swine flu & to create mass awareness about the disease. "Appealing the citizens not to panic. We have sufficient treatment facilities, doctors and medicines available for swine flu in the state, said Rupani in the meeting. Besides this, the Shankar Chaudhary, MoS for Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Environment, informed in the meeting that around 170 deaths have taken place due to swine flu by far in Gujarat.Chaudhary also announced that special ambulance free service 104 along with 108 services has been started for the cases of swine flu cases taking the patients to the near wards. Around 17000 medical teams have been deployed and activated across the state for the checkup and treatment, he added.
