In an extremely unfortunate incident, 10 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were killed and 35 injured as a vehicle carrying them fell into a gorge on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district on Sunday.
According to information, Police have launched rescue operations to save lives of other pilgrims.

The 40-day Amarnath yatra started on June 29 from the twin routes of Pahalgam in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district. It is scheduled to culminate on August 7, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
